Am I doing something wrong? I dont understand how to get the small dust into the planet core. I've had multiple rounds where i just end with nothing and at most i get 1 mass per round lol. I'm sure this gets fun with upgrades but needing to do 30 rounds minimum to get the first useful(?) upgrade isn't.
Thanks, this is really helpful. You are not doing anything wrong; the game is not explaining the dust-to-core loop clearly enough yet, and the early upgrade cost is definitely too high. I’m going to make the inner pull stronger, add a clearer absorption zone around the planet, prevent 0-progress rounds, and rebalance the first upgrade so players can feel progress much sooner.
When it gets to that point you will need like 10 big dust 1 per 10% breakthrough, As the little dust breaking causes other dust to break and push making a ring preventing you from pulling the big ones, You will need to pull all the big dust into the inner ring before sacrificing them as each one will add to the ring making it harder.
Um just found an easy way to get the little dust to group the big dust as i was writing this, You drag the scrollbar down making the little dust leave the orbit for as long as you are not looking at it, Then it turn as it comes back pushes the big dust into the inner ring.
Agreed. Even if it is not technically locked, if it feels like a softlock, that is a problem. I’m going to add a safety system so each round can still produce progress and players do not feel forced to restart from the main menu.
This is a great breakdown. The ring of small dust blocking bigger dust is not what I want long-term, so I’m going to adjust that system. The orbit should look cool, but it should not prevent progress. I’ll likely add auto-absorption near the core and reduce the way small dust blocks the larger pieces.

I can't damage the planet core? It's also almost impossible to influence dust into the center.

That's not great since it's super easy to softlock as a result.
agreed. I thought I had softlocked and had to leave to the main menu and sstart again
